Peggy Seymour had all artistic endeavour thoroughly beaten out of her at various colleges between 1998 and 2003.
Working primarily in traditional oil on canvas, she learnt precisely none of her technique from an art college.
She has been told repeatedly that painting icons from pop culture is not art. But that is a lie. And lies are very bad.
She will probably not paint your cat, or your gran, or your car.
I paint traditional oil paintings of people from pop culture. I am compelled to do this most days.
